Aquanaut Character Animation

The Aquanaut is an interactive statue in the kids pool of the National Swimming Center De Tongelreep. The head contains a screen where a 7 minute loop is being played.  The helmet fills up with water until it breaks which splashes the kids with water.

Shaping the Character

From nozes to eyes and beards to moustaches - every detail of the face had seen multiple versions. Based on the young target group, we approached different levels of cartoonism.
